Costa del Sol is the most important travel destination in Andalusia and one of the leading travel destinations in Spain. Local tourism departments do a fantastic job in the field of tourism management. The Town Council Association complements their work, introducing innovation in this well-established destination.
One of the latest challenges was the promotion of water sports – a sector with a huge potential the Association has made great efforts to promote. The marinas and special events like the Yachting Week make it possible to offer an alternative travel option.
Management transparency is a priority in all activities for one of the most important of the Association’s departments in terms of revenues. Tourism promotion efforts are combined with agreements at the provincial, regional and national levels.
